Meet Ambrose, also known as Bobcat.

This sweetheart of a kitty showed up at a local farm family's barn.  These kind people were feeding him, and this little darling was rubbing and purring the whole time.  He also seemed like he wanted to come inside.  We do not know his history, but it could be that someone dumped him (after he was a house cat) given how extremely friendly & people oriented he is. 

Anyway, we took him into our rescue, and he is currently in foster care.  Ambrose has already been to our vet - he had an abscess on his leg, an ear infection, abraded paws (all for of them) and parasites.  He was also tested for feline leukemia and HIV, and, thankfully, he tested negative on both.  After having been treated, Ambrose is feeling so much better.  He goes back for a recheck with our vet in another week, and then we will schedule his neuter.  He is also up to date on his core vaccines (rabies and distemper).

While all of our rescue kids are special, Ambrose is exceptionally so.  Thus, we are seeking a special home for him where he will get lots of human attention.  When Ambrose showed up at the barn, he was in the company of other cats, and he did just fine with them.  There are other kitties in his foster home as well as dogs, and he does fine with all. 

Beyond being super sweet, affectionate and lovely tempered, Ambrose is also very handsome.  And, as a bonus, he is polydactyl (which is super adorable)!!  He also has a bobbed tail - he was born that way.

If you are looking for your once-in-a-lifetime "soul" cat, Abrose might be the one for you.
