Meet our gorgeous D Litter - Great Dane/Shep pups  Darcy, Deanna, Delilah, Derek, Dustin and Dylan.  All of these pups are FABULOUS - happy, social, outgoing -- and all are love bugs. 

The mom of these babies was a Shep mix.  Dad was a Great Dane mix.  We expect these pups will be in the large to extra large range when full grown.  Currently (10/6), the pups are a little over 9 wks of age. Pups Delilah, Dylan and Dustin are the largest of the litter (weighing in right now at 17 - 19 lbs).   As for the others, in increasing order of size are Deanna, Darcy and Derek (weighing in at 14 to 16 lbs).   All of these pups are absolutely great!! 

Re individual traits/personalities:

Beyond being beautiful, Deanna is exceptionally sweet and gentle - you cannot help but love this puppy.  When she looks up at you, you can just melt!!

Ms. Darcy is another wonderful girl who is very, very engaging.  She just loves to be loved.  This little one is a sweetheart who would love to have a family of her own and lots of one on one attention!!

Delilah, our blue/brown-eyed girl, is also a great pup - she is the alpha girl of the litter, but she is not overbearing about it.  She plays and gets along well with the others, including at the food bowl.  Sometimes, she just likes to do her own thing...  Delilah is a loving, affectionate girl who is  always game for some play time or a belly run and hugs and kisses.

And, as for the boys of the group, Mr. Derek is our blue merle boy, and he is positively stunning.  For as handsome as he is outside, he is even more wonderful on the inside.  He has an absolutely lovely way about him -- affectionate, but oh so gentle.  He is a little more laid back in his approach than some of his siblings, but he is a total lover who will steal your heart!! 

Dustin is also a total sweetheart -- he's a goofy, loving guy... he loves toys, love to play, loves people attention, and loves to be loved.  He is a wonderful pup. 

And then there's Dylan -- he is a big boy and a total love muffin.  His whole body gets wagging with happiness when you sit with him and pull him into your lap for some love time.  He is also exceptionally handsome with his beautiful white coat, blue/brown eyes, and adorable ways. 

All of these pups love to play, they love people, and they SO love hugs and kisses.

If you have the time, willingness and ability to commit to one of these babies for her/his whole life -- no matter what may lie ahead in yours -- please register on our website (www.safeatlast.net).  When you receive your password, log back on to the website to complete the online adoption application (under Forms/Applications on the lefthand side of the homepage).  Once we have your application, a volunteer will be in touch by email to commence the review process.  (So, please check your filters and your spam!)

Our process is very straightforward, but it does involve a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $350, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), also apply.
