TRUE IS A COURTESY POSTING AND NOT A SAFE AT LAST DOG.  SO, IF YOU HAVE MORE QUESTIONS OR ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE CONTACT HIS CAREGIVER DANIELLE AT 360-941-6784.

Meet True, who is in need of a new home; and, this is what we have been told about him:

True is a 6-7 year old pitbull who had been in an abusive home, where he had been
crated all day and night, never taken outside to go potty, and was scheduled to be put down. The family’s excuse was that True was allegedly aggressive; yet, he lived in a house with kids and another dog and had (and has) never bitten. The real reason for this family's wanting to get rid of True appeared to be that this poor boy was barking to get out of his crate for some attention, companionship or exercise -- or to go outside to potty before he had no choice but to go on the floor.

A kind soul rescued True (though, sadly, she was unable to also get the other dog out of this abusive household); and, happily, she found True a temporary home.  However, that person works a lot and there are no other capable caretakers in this family… And, so, True is seeking a forever home where he will be loved forever for who he is.

True is a wonderful, loving dog, but he does chew!  He has serious separation anxiety (who could blame him???); and, so, he should probably be in a crate during those times when he is home alone – this would be to ease his own anxiety & to protect him – at least until he feels safe, secure and comfortable in his new home.

True is a great dog, but he does not do well with cats - so he needs to go to a cat-free household.  In terms of other dogs, he is fine -- he has lived fine with another dog.  He has also done fine with children, but, given his size and anxiety issues, if a prospective home has children, rehoming will be restricted to families with only older children (8+).  True is neutered, potty-trained and up to date on his shots; so, he is all ready for his new forever home.

If you feel you can meet True’s needs and want to provide him with a loving, responsible home, (or if you would like more information), please contact caretaker Danielle (360-941-6784).

Thank you for your interest and wanting to help True find his way home.
