Meet gorgeous Mocha Java (aka "MJ").  This gorgeous girl just came to our rescue from our friends in WV.  Mocha Java is a delightful girl and, so far, is great in the house.  She knows sit and gives great eye contact.  She gets along with most other dogs and is fabulous with cats.  She is terrific in the crate -- she'll even go in there by herself.  This pup is a wonderful, wonderful lady but does still have some puppy/adolescent behaviors to adjust, which her foster mom is already working on.  While she's wonderful in the house, she needs some work with leash manners & occasionally trys to be a little mouthy.  Again, foster mom Jill is working with her on all that.  MJ is a young, active girl and will need an active household to engage her, do lots of fun things with her and continue her training.

We don't think she be a really large dog when fully grown -- maybe 50lbs (but, again, folks, no guarantees on that).  Currently she's about 32lbs.  We think she might be mixed with Chocolate Lab (but, again, no guarantees).  All we know if what we see, and we see an absolutely lovely, lovely dog who will make an excellent family companion if included in activities and her family's day-to-day life.

Our process is very straightforward but does involve the phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $400, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), also apply.  We very much appreciate your interest, but please be advised that you cannot meet MJ until you have been approved for adoption.  And, we cannot consider you until you have submitted your Safe at Last adoption application.
