Meet POPPYSEED  

She is from a litter of 8 Hound mix pups who were rescued from a VERY bad situation, after being abandoned next to a dumpster in Georgia, nearly starved to death.  No puppy should have to go through that and as a result most of these guys needed varying degrees of rehabilitation both physically & mentally.  

Poppy is about 14 weeks old.  Best guess for breed is a mixture of Hound type dogs (Coonhound/Beagle) and possibly some Labrador as well.  They all varied in size but overall we believe (THOUGH CANNOT GUARANTEE) that Poppy will be medium in size when full grown (45-55lbs).  

Poppyseed is being crate trained in her foster home and is well on her way to being housebroken (but still being a puppy, a routine is important and accidents should be expected).  She loves being involved in daily activities and accompanies her foster mom to work almost daily.  She is being fostered with other med/large breed dogs.  Poppy is good with respectful kids, and also good with cats-although she'll likely need reminders that, although it might seem fun, bothering kitties is not allowed.

She's more than just a cute face and like all puppies, Poppy is looking for a calm, confident leader who can provide her with the guidance to grow into a well-rounded adult dog.  A puppy or training class would set her up for success as well as establish a bond with her new family.

She has exhibited a bit of the Hound tendency, being a little too interested in bunnies and chickens, but with proper training right from the get go she should be able to live semi cohesively if needed.
