Meet our new kitty arrivals – our Fabulous Four Felines, Jude, Desmond, Penny Lane, and Harrison.

These kitties were in a shelter in South Carolina, and the shelter was very crowded… and, so, our SC rescue friend reached out to us.  And, we were very happy to bring these little ones into our Safe at Last family.  These kitties are from a couple of different litters.  Their approximate age right now (12/6/20) is about 10 weeks, though Desmond may be a little older (~12-13 wks).  And, they are between 2.5 and 3.5 lbs.

In terms of personality, they are all sweet, friendly and affectionate.

Penny Lane is particularly affectionate – a super cuddler.  She is also very bold and feisty!!  She is a beautiful short-haired diffuse calico.  And, her foster mom says (and I quote):  “To know her is to love her.”

Jude is an affectionate little kitty, who is just a tad more reserved than the others, but still affectionate and lovable.  He is also gorgeous, with his long gray and white coat.  He always seems to look a bit disheveled – AND positively adorable!

Harrison is a sweetie as well, friendly & affectionate.  His foster mom says he has a great purr.  This little guy is long-bodied and long-legged; quite elegant looking.  He also has gorgeous blue-green eyes.

Desmond is a stunning looking boy, with his beautiful long coat and gorgeous eyes.  He is also a friendly, affectionate kitten.

In terms of medical, the kitties were tested for feline leukemia and HIV and were negative.  They have been to our vet for a wellness exam and age appropriate shots (distemper).  They have been dewormed, and we will be repeating deworming and related meds shortly.  And, so, they are ready for their forever homes (with the understanding that they will need follow-up age appropriate vetting, including spay/neuter, all of which will be explained to their adopters). 

If you would like to commit to one of these precious babies for life, please register on www.safeatlast.net (by clicking Register on the left-hand side of our homepage).  When you receive your password, please log back on to our website to complete the Safe at Last online adoption application (click “Forms/Applications” on the left-hand side of our homepage).  Once we have your application, if we feel you are a good match, we will contact you by email to commence our review process.  Our process is straightforward but involves a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $150, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), also apply.

BE ADVISED:  YOU CANNOT MEET THE KITTIES UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT.  WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE SAFE AT LAST ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Delay in submitting your application will put you at a disadvantage relative to potentially qualified families who have applied.

Finally, these kitties are being fostered in Preston Hollow, NY.  All approved adopters are required to go to the foster home to complete the adoption, AND COVID-19 PROTOCOLS (INCLUDING MASK) MUST BE OBSERVED.
