This is Miss Aspen, a beautiful girl with her green eyes & fawn colored coat which feels like velvet.  She weighs about 35 lbs right now at about 6 months of age;  so, we anticipate (BUT CANNOT GUARANTEE) that Aspen will be on the upper end of medium to the lower end of large when fully grown.  As for her breed mix, honestly, we also cannot guarantee that - best guestimate is lab/hound.  We truly do not know -- We do know, however, that this young lady is a sweetheart and she absolutely loves having attention from her people!!

 

Aspen is an active young girl who loves playing with her foster siblings.  She is so totally not dominant or aggressive - she just enjoys playing and she is very non-dominant in her interaction with other dogs.  She also does great with the two resident cats at her foster home, and she loves to run and play outside exploring as much as possible.  As noted, she loves attention - from her foster parents, from the folks at the vet clinic, and from all whom she meets.   

 

Aspen is a real sweetheart and is also doing well with her potty training.  She does pretty well on a leash too, but again is still a young pup in training.  Aspen is not only a beautiful young dog; she has a great personality as well, is a gentle soul, & would be a great addition to a loving, responsible home.  If you are looking for a sweet, loving young dog who will want to spend lots of time with you, Aspen could be the one for you!!

To be considered to adopt our sweet Aspen, please register on www.safeatlast.net.  When you receive your password, log back on to complete the SAFE AT LAST online adoption application.  Once we have your application, IF WE FEEL YOU ARE A POTENTIALLY GOOD MATCH FOR ASPEN, WE WILL CONTACT YOU BY EMAIL TO SCHEDULE THE PHONE INTERVIEW TO COMMENCE THE REVIEW PROCESS -- SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM.  Our review process is very straightforward, but it does involve the phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  AN ADOPTION FEE OF $425, AND A $35 REFUNDABLE SPAY/NEUTER DEPOSIT (REQUIRED BY NYS LAW), ALSO APPLY.  (We do have Aspen scheduled for her spay, which is coming up very soon -- if she is spayed before she goes to her forever home, the $35 spay/neuter deposit will not apply.)

Please be advised that if you do not submit the Safe at Last adoption application, we cannot consider you.  Delay in submitting your application will put you at a disadvantage to others who have applied.  And, you cannot meet Aspen until you have applied and been approved to adopt. 

Approved adopters are required to go to the foster home (in Worcester, NY - Otsego County) to meet Aspen and complete the adoption.  Of course, all Covid-19 protocols must be observed, including mask.
