Meet Bart

Bart is a 3 year old, 27 pound, 14" Beagle.

Bart, his current mom & his canine "sister" (an 8yr female Cocker Spaniel) have been trying to adjust to a lot of life changes; their elderly human dad passed away-which then also lead to a downsize move, from a country home into the village, also losing their fenced in yard.  On top of that his mom broke her foot, and really has been struggling since the passing of her husband.  Bart's mom has been strong enough to realize she just can't give Bart the life deserves.  So Bart is on the search for a new living situation.

Bart is a typical nice Beagle boy; however he can be a bit nervous in unfamiliar situations.  He hasn't been exposed to a ton of things out of the home, therefore Bart would be best suited in a quite home. OR a home who would be willing to work with him to encounter new situations and support him through how to handle and adjust.

He loves going for walks, and being a young Beagle, would probably benefit from increase in physical activity.  A fenced yard would be great for him as well.

Bart is good with other dogs, and we think he'd be just fine in home with cats as well - he'll be doing some additional playdates with new dogs & and have a cat intro soon.  Older, laidback, dog-savvy kids would probably be ok for him - but again a quiet style home would be his best fit. 

Bart is housebroken, neutered, and up-to-date on his vaccinations & veterinary care.

A meet & greet with Bart can be scheduled after an adoption application is completed & processed.

Bart is being fostered in Cobleskill, NY.  Approved adopters are required to go to the foster home to complete the adoption.
