Meet the Sox Sisters, Harlequin (aka Harley), Dottie, and Purdy.  These pups came to us from our NC rescue friends.   These babies were in a shelter – and they were going to be euthanized.  Luckily, through our dedicated foster network in NC and here in NY, we found the room to take them in and were able to get them to safety.

Our best assessment – NO GUARANTEE – is that the Sox Sisters are about 11-12 weeks old right now (8/2/21) and are catahoula/hound mixes.  Again, we cannot give any guarantee on breed mix.  We anticipate, though again CANNOT GUARANTEE, that they will be on the upper end of medium/lower end of large in size when full grown (45-65 lbs), with Purdy being the smallest of the three.

All of these pups are personable, social babies.  They love to play and engage with one another, as well as with the people in their foster home.  They are active puppies and sometimes can be vocal (especially Purdy).  They are typical happy, playful, affectionate puppies.   Each of these girls will be a wonderful addition to a loving home, where she will be included as a valued family member and also taught, trained  and guided to become a good canine citizen.

After you receive your password, please COMPLETE THE SAFE AT LAST ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION. (Click Forms/Applications on the lefthand side of the homepage and choose the Adoption application.)  Once we have your application, IF WE FEEL YOU ARE A POTENTIALLY GOOD MATCH, we will contact you by e-mail to schedule the phone interview.  So, please check your spam.  Our review process is straightforward but involves the phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  AN ADOPTION FEE OF $425 (AND A REFUNDABLE $35 SPAY/NEUTER DEPOSIT, required by NYS law) APPLY.   

YOU CANNOT MEET THE PUPS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT.  WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FULLY FILLED OUT SAFE AT LAST ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Delay in submitting your application will put you behind other potentially suitable applicants.

These puppies are being fostered in Worcester, NY (Otsego County).  Approved adopters are required to go to the foster home to complete the adoption.
