Miss Tilly is a sweet 10-year-old lovable beagle who was used as a "breeding machine" until she was dumped by the horrible humans in her former lfe.  She was rescued by our good friends in SC, where she was spayed and vaccinated. They contacted us to see if we could help Tilly.  At the time, Tilly was loaded with mammary tumors and it was highly suspected that she had cancer.  We agreed to take her & see her through to the next step in her life, come what may…

Once here with us, Tilly got her surgery – it was major surgery -- full double mastectomies removing all of her mammary glands/tumors.  Amazingly, none were cancerous – thank goodness!!!  This poor girl underwent 2 1/2 hours of surgery and received well over 100 stiches on the outside and many more on the inside. 

A month later, once recovered, she then went to our vet for major dental work (which she needed badly).  In that procedure, she had 11 extractions done.  She is now 2 weeks out from this second procedure and doing wonderfully.

Throughout this whole ordeal, this sweet lady has been nothing but loving, gentle and just wanting to be loved and cared for by her humans.  When she has gone with her foster parents to Agway for visits, she wants to meet everyone and is curious about all the other pets that come in.  Tilly is such a sweet soul.

Miss Tilly is an exceptional grand lady who deserves to find her own very special forever home to live out the rest of her life being loved, cared for and cherished by her devoted family.

(Click Forms/Applications on the left-hand side of the homepage.)  Once we have your application, IF WE FEEL YOU ARE A POTENTIALLY GOOD MATCH, we will contact you by e-mail to schedule the phone interview.  So, please check your spam.  Our review process is straightforward but involves the phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  AN ADOPTION FEE OF $425 APPLIES.

Tilly is being fostered in Worcester, NY (Otsego County).  Approved adopters are required to go to the foster home to complete the adoption.
