Paul is at his potential forever home for a two-week trial.  We will not be processing any other applications for him.  We fully expect this will culminate in a forever home/final adoption.  

Meet Paul (of Peter, Paul and Mary), born ~7/24/21. 

This is what his North Carolina foster mom had to say about him:

“Paul is my little talker and is not at all loud but gives a soft little slow bow wow wow or bbboooowww.   He beats to his own drum; so you will usually hear it when the other two and I have gone off on a safari and gotten too far ahead or if he feels there may be some dinner or Dave waiting inside for him. 

You can catch him sitting, and he has the cutest little chubby boy sit, playing with a toy all by himself or digging in his little hole and smiling. Sometimes I think he laughs at his own little jokes.  

He is the first to walk away from a spat with his siblings and rarely takes part in any type of argument. But he is also the one to come right back and engage Peter into having some fun playing tag.  

I can also see him being gentle with children and cats too. He is going to be one of those unshakable easy going happy and sweet bully babies.  He did also meet a cat at one of the transfer foster homes and did just fine.

Yes, I do love him and have only positive things to say about my Paul.”

If you are interested in adopting, you must register on www.safeatlast.net.  (Click "Register" on the left-hand side of our homepage.)  When you receive your password on your email account, log back on to complete the Safe at Last online adoption application.  (Click "Forms/Applications" on the left-hand side of our homepage and select the Adoption Application.) Without your SAFE AT LAST ADOPTION application, we cannot consider you, and we will not respond to generic petfinder (check the box) inquiries.  Our review process is straightforward, but involves the phone interview, reference checks and home assessment.  An adoption fee of $425, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), also apply.  

Regrettably, we cannot adopt to Massachusetts residents due to the MA dog quarantine laws.

Adopters are required to go to the foster home in Schenectady/Guilderland NY area to complete the adoption.  All covid protocols must be observed, including mask.
