Meet Reed - he is every bit a wonderful distinguished gentleman.

We estimate Reed is going on about 4 years old - a Heinz 57, southern mix breed guy - maybe some Shepherd/Lab/maybe some Bully breed as he has a big block head.  About 60lbs.

He is a great guy, respectful, and our rescue/transport partners had nothing but wonderful things to say about him both at the shelter and on his rescue trip from SC to Schoharie County NY.  Knows sit and already has a great 'bed'/'place' command.

Reed has integrated just fine with both male and female canine foster mates, and has met several canine friends along the way - all good.  He's great with cats, zero issues.  And although he hasn't formally met kids in foster care yet, we imagine Reed would be just fine with dog-savvy respectful kids, as he is a very social friendly guy.

Reed is neutered, up-to-date on core vaccines, dewormed, current on flea/tick & heartworm preventative, and microchipped.  Upon rescue he did test heartworm positive but he was treated in SC before coming to us.  As part of treatment/recoupment he just needs to be on exercise restriction for 30 days - meaning no hikes, runs, or intense, lengthy play just yet.  As of March though he'll be restriction free and able to enjoy all the fun activities to their fullest.

Reed is being fostered in Cobleskill, NY.  Approved adopters are required to go to the foster home to complete the adoption.
