Henny arrived 2/13 from our rescue partners in North Carolina.  This is what Henny's foster mom has to say about her:

What a love for life Miss Henny has!  And, yes, we say it with an exclamation point because that is how our girl is. 

Things Henny likes- people, dogs, balls, hoofies, toys, the toys' squeaker, racing in the yard and did we mention life in general. 

She has been loved by her fan club, the vet staff, the shelter staff and most of all her foster dad.  There is just never a sad or dull moment when she is in your world. 

Her expressions just make you smile, from her little tipped over ears, to those paws that reach out in play and let's not forget when she is trying to engage someone in play. The bounce and the head tilt, c'mon. 

And the basics include potty trained but she may get excited on her first day of meet and greets; so help her remember.  She crates so easily and sleeps through the night. 

And just a few requests from Henny.  She would love a doggie sibling, she feels it would be hard to play easy with small children at this point in her training and a fenced in yard with an active family would be just terrific. 

Henny is about 7 months old - a Terrier? mix, she likely will be a medium size adult 40-50lbs.

TO PURSUE ADOPTION, PLEASE REGISTER ON www.safeatlast.net.  After you receive your password, please COMPLETE THE SAFE AT LAST ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Once we have your application, IF WE FEEL YOU ARE A POTENTIALLY GOOD MATCH, we will contact you by e-mail to schedule the phone interview.  So, please check your spam.  Our review process is straightforward but involves a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment. An adoption fee/donation of $450 applies.

YOU CANNOT MEET Henny UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT.  WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FULLY FILLED OUT SAFE AT LAST ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Delay in submitting your application will put you behind other potentially suitable applicants.

Henny is being fostered in the Cobleskill, NY area.  Approved adopters are required to go to the foster home to complete the adoption.
