Meet Marty!!  MARTY HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING & IS EXPECTED TO GO TO HIS FOREVER HOME THIS WEEK.  TO THE OTHER FAMILIES WHO HAVE APPLIED FOR MARTY, WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN HIM.

Born ~3/22/22, they are just about 8 weeks old!  Best guess is Cattle Dog mix, but these pups look like complete Heinz 57 mixes (see additional photos of some littermates), 100% pure puppy!!  We believe but cannot guarantee that they will be medium size adults.

Marty & Maya are typical happy happy puppies!  Per their foster mom, Martin is super easy, Maya is fresh and believe it or not, not as brave as her brother.  But as all puppies ebb and flow through growing up, their initial personality characteristics will likely feature differences as they experience the world in their own ways :)

Marty & Maya (weighing in at 6lbs & 9.2lbs as of 5/15) are current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, & current on flea/tick preventative.  

They are currently still in their NC foster home, but should have a ride north by Memorial Day weekend!

To pursue adoption, please register on www.safeatlast.net.  (Click Register on the left-hand side of our homepage.)  When you receive your password on your email account, please log back on to our website to complete the SAFE AT LAST on-line adoption application.  (Click Forms/Application on the left-hand side of our homepage and select the Adoption Application.) Once we have your completed application, if we feel you are a good match, we will contact you by email to schedule the phone interview to commence the review process.  (So, please check your SPAM.)  Our process is straightforward but involves the phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $450, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit, also apply.

YOU CANNOT MEET THE PUPS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT.  WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FULLY FILLED OUT SAFE AT LAST ON-LINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Delay in submitting your application will put you behind other potentially suitable applicants.  Ultimately, approved adopters will be required to pick the pups up (after arrival in NY) in Schoharie County.
