DUCKY HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING!!!  WE WILL NOT BE PROCESSING ANY APPLICATIONS FOR HER.

Adorable little Ducky (pictured in the middle) came from a very neglectful situation in North Carolina.  She was left in a crate in her own waste - so much so that she had urine burns on her skin when she first came to us.  She was also very underweight... Well, those days are over forever.  Our Ducky went into foster care with our wonderful team in North Carolina, where she has gained weight, gotten her skin all healed, and is engaging with her people and other dogs in the household.  Ducky made her way to NY yesterday, again through the amazing efforts of our NC partners.  She had a wonderful day playing with a number of other dogs -- all much larger than she.  And, it was a wonderful thing to see her feisty little personality emerge.  She is also a total love bug, with a constantly wagging little tail and butt-wiggles.

Ducky went to her NY foster family yesterday afternoon -- and we already had an approved adopter interested in her.  The meet and greet was yesterday, and we are thrilled to report that Ducky has found her forever family.  Ducky will be going to her forever home as soon as she is checked out by our vet this week.  Way to go, Ducky!!
