About Trooper

  • Housetrained: No
Trooper (along with sister Leah and puppy pals Chloe, Daisy, Rex, Leslie, & Luke) – came to Safe At Last Animal Rescue all the way from a shelter in Morehead, Kentucky. This shelter, like so many others across the country, is experiencing an influx of record numbers of animals. However, thanks to the untiring efforts of shelter workers and rescue volunteers, these babies were able to make their way to safety.

Trooper, like the rest of these pups, is sweet, happy, active and social. Trooper is an adorable puppy, with lots and lots of love to give. He comes bounding over to me on his short little legs and nestles right down in my lap for hugs and kisses. He is also a playful pup & enjoys romping with the other pups here. Trooper is at the perfect age for beginning his new life with a wonderful forever family who will shower him with love.

All of these pups are currently being fostered in a private home in upstate New York (Schoharie County), and all are having quite a wonderful time!! They are typical puppies – they love to play (with one another and with people), they love to be held, give kisses and snuggle down in your lap; they love pretty much everything.

They are also very smart puppies. From day one in my home, they have been pottying on newspaper when they do not have access to their outdoor yard area; when outdoors, they potty in one designated area. They have also never pottied on their bedding, and I believe they will housetrain quickly. These pups also learned to use a doggie door virtually instantaneously. They are quite a sight to see when they all come charging through the door at once!!

If you have the time, willingness and ability to commit to Trooper for his entire life – regardless of what may lie ahead in yours – please email me (cindy@safeatlast.net) for an adoption application. Once you have completed and returned your application to us, one of our volunteers will be in touch. PLEASE BE SURE TO PROVIDE ALL REQUESTED INFORMATION ON THE ADOPTION APPLICATION – YOU CANNOT BE CONSIDERED UNTIL WE HAVE YOUR COMPLETE APPLICATION. (Reference checks, home visit, and adoption donation of $300 apply.)

Thank you for wanting to open your heart and home to one of our wonderful rescue pups.
