About Sparky the Kitty

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Color: orange

SPARKY IS A COURTESY POSTING AND NOT A SAFE AT LAST ANIMAL.  TO PURSUE ADOPTION, PLEASE CONTACT CARETAKER BONNIE DIRECTLY at puffin921@yahoo.com.  ALSO, YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER ON www.safeatlast.net AND THEN COMPLETE THE SAFE AT LAST ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  WE WILL PASS THAT INFORMATION ON TO CARETAKER BONNIE.

Sparky and siblings (also seeking their forever homes & posted on our website) were rescued by their good samitaritan caretaker from a dairy barn situation.  The kitties have been with her for weeks, and she has vetted them and worked at getting them healthy and happy.  There is a definite preference that the kitties be adopted in pairs as indicated in their biographies.  Single adoptions may be considered, but double adoptions will be given preference.  An adoption fee - to help defray some of the costs of their caretaker - also applies - $150/pair or $100/kitten.

This is what caretaker Bonnie has to say about Sparky:

Sparky is an orange tabby with white feet and chest, born about 6/1/22 and is Petey’s brother. He has been treated for parasites and received distemper and rabies shots, is FeLV and FIV negative. He was rescued from a dairy farm covered in fleas, had ear mites and where they would have faced dangers from predators, farm machinery and livestock.

Solidly built, Sparky is a tank and can easily tackle his littermates.  He’s super affectionate once he gets to know you and loves belly rubs and snuggling up in a chair.  He is extremely timid and easily spooked so will run and hide until he knows all is well. This probably stems from the fact that when rescued his eyes were shut from infection so he could not see anything. However, he’s super playful and loves furry mice and chasing balls and pointers.

Sparky requires a quiet household and perhaps an older, less rambunctious dog, although he does ignore our large dog. He must be adopted with one of his littermates, Maisie or Petey, as he depends on them for comfort and support.
