Meet Twinkie, a 7 month old, ~8-lb, spayed terrier mix.  (Age and breed mix are best assessments only; NO GUARANTEE.)

What is this little girl all about, you ask?? 

Well, can you say social butterfly???  Twinkie is asking -- What are the neighbors doing, where are my foster siblings what are my foster mom and dad up to??  Twinkie will be your little connection to all this happening in her and your world. 

She is flexible and loves playing with her foster siblings but can keep herself entertained when they are tired of playing. A toy or a sibling both will work for entertainment for this little sweetheart. 

To wrap Twinkie up in a few words -- busy, active, cute and sweet. 

And, as for the basics, they are a work in progress - crate training and potty training in particular; but Twinkie listens well and is food motivated. Continued positive reinforcement will need to be part of her transition to her forever home.  Twinkie is sure to reward her new family with many years of love and smiles!

To pursue adoption, please register on www.safeatlast.net.  (Click Register on the left-hand side of our homepage.)  When you receive your password on your email account, please log back on to our website to complete the SAFE AT LAST on-line adoption application.  (Click Forms/Application on the left-hand side of our homepage and select the Adoption Application.) Once we have your completed application, if we feel you are a good match, we will contact you by email. (So, please check your SPAM.)  Our process is straightforward but involves a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $450 applies.

YOU CANNOT MEET Twinkie UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT.  WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FULLY FILLED OUT SAFE AT LAST ON-LINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Delay in submitting your application will put you behind other potentially suitable applicants.  Ultimately, approved adopters will be required to go to the foster home to complete the adoption (in the Schoharie/Albany County area).
