About Fez

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Current Age: 1 Year 5 Months (best estimate)
  • Housetrained: No

FEZ CURRENTLY HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING.  THEREFORE, WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING/PROCESSING ADDITIONAL APPLICATIONS FOR HIM AT THIS TIME.

Meet Fez, Red, Kelso, and Hyde.

Currently (2/23/23), these boys are about 10 weeks old and weigh in between 8 and 14 lbs (with Red being the smallest at 8 lbs, Kelso at 12 lbs, and the other two boys being between 12 and 14 lbs.  Our best assessment (NO GUARANTEE) is that these babies are lab/aussie mixes.  We anticipate (THOUGH CANNOT GUARANTEE) that they will be medium to the lower end of large in size in size when full grown.

These boys had a rough start to life, being outside all the time - as part of two litters of 11 puppies from two teenage momma dogs.  These babies (and the others in the litters who also are now safe in rescue) had to fight for everything.  Those days, however, are behind them.  Life is now looking good – with ample food, soothing baths, medical care, good food, and lots of love and attention.  These pups are taking advantage of every moment of their wonderful new start to life.  They are soaking up the loving and playing happily as puppies should.  We have promised them that this is only the beginning and that life will get even better when they find wonderful forever families of their own.  As for individual personalities, we are still watching them develop; but we are pretty sure that their individual ways will match their adorable little faces.  We can keep you posted with updates on that.

In terms of status, right now, the pups are in foster care with our amazing rescue partners in North Carolina and are getting basic vetting, as well as socialization with other animals/people in their foster homes.  We anticipate that these babies will be making their way north in about two weeks, after they have had a chance to unwind, enjoy and complete some basic meds (deworming, etc.)  We will keep prospective adopters updated on timing regarding their journey north to New York.

We welcome your interest in these sweet boys.  Please be mindful, however, that adopting a puppy is more than falling in love with a picture.  It’s a 10 to 15 year commitment that involves a lot of time/care, responsible parenting/training, love/patience, and a financial commitment as well.  If you have the time, willingness and ability to make that commitment to one of these precious pups for his whole life – no matter what may lie ahead in yours – we’d love to see your application.
