Meet sweet Jenny the Beagle <3

Jenny was found as a local stray, and honestly we don't know why no one ever called to redeem her.  It's incredibly sad and disheartening as she's just the sweetest little girl, well behaved in the house, gets along with other dogs, cats, and even chickens..we just don't understand - but it is what it is we guess, so now we'll find her just the best home that will be her forever.

Jenny is about 3 years old.  She's a small Beagle, the 13inch size, and approximately 25lbs.  Soft, sweet, and sensitive. 

She is good with other dogs, although they can be a little scary at first - but once she realizes they will be nice to her she settles in just fine.  A dominant canine companion would not be her best match.

Ok with dog-savvy cats-there are two cats in her foster home, but they will run from her if she acts like she might chase them.  Unsure what her reaction would be to a cat that stands up to her.  She does respond to verbal correction to leave the cats alone, but will need continued training in this area if she is going to live with kitties. 

Great with all people.  She hasn't officially met kids, but she's a typical sweet Beagle and would probably be just fine with respectful children.

Jenny also came into her foster home pretty much housebroken, just a couple accidents as she adjusted and figured out the routine.  Sleeps through the night-preferably in bed with you.  

Jenny is going to make someone a really lovely little companion.  Onward and upward Jenny - we don't know what happened or why, but we'll make sure this doesn't happen again <3

Jenny's adoption fee is $200 - and this includes spay (which is scheduled), rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dewormer (if needed), flea treatment (if needed), heartworm/lyme test, & microchip!

To fill out an application please register on www.safeatlast.net.  When you receive your password, log back on to complete the Safe at Last online adoption application.  IF WE FEEL YOU ARE A POTENTIALLY GOOD MATCH, WE WILL CONTACT YOU BY EMAIL - SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM.  Jenny is being fostered in a private home - WITHOUT YOUR APPLICATION, WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU, and you cannot meet Jenny until you have applied and been approved.  Adopters are required to visit the foster home to complete the adoption (Cobleskill, NY - Schoharie County).

Our review process is very straightforward - it involves an interview, reference checks and a home assessment.
