About Nod

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: white
  • Current Age: 1 Year 8 Months (best estimate)
NOD HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING.  WE, THEREFORE, ARE NOT PROCESSING ANY OTHER APPLICATIONS FOR HER.

Meet Nod!
Nod is the sister of Blynken (available for adoption) and Wynken (already adopted) & is a sweetheart.
She shares her sister Blynken's love for socks and laundry. There's nothing quite like stealing them away to your secret spot!!
And if you love that "just woke up" look, Nod has got that going on all day long. And she rocks it!!
Her start in life was just like that of her sisters & mom - in an overgrown crowded pen without much human interaction....So, Nod is learning now that there are good people who want to be kind with her.
She enjoys her foster mom and our vet staff but needs a little more time and patience to warm up to the new people that come in to her life.  She, therefore, will need an adopter understanding of this... But boy is she worth it!!  The snuggles and the belly rubs are as much her people's reward as they are hers. We have made some arrangements to get her a little more exposure to people and that is helping her to trust more.
Nod loves the company of other dogs, especially if they would snuggle with her after a good game of chase or tug of war.
She is about 90% house broken, is good in her crate and can be a bit of a fussy eater. Some chicken always helps -- and she needs the extra "groceries" as she still needs to gain some weight.

Nod is about 4 months old and 17 lbs -- as stated, we are working on putting weight on her.  She is up-to-date on her core vaccines and ready for her forever home.  We are seeking a loving, non-chaotic household where Nod will be given the time and understanding to warm up and open up to her family.  We promise you, it will be worth it!  Additionally, since she loves other dogs and gains confidence from them, we are seeking a home with another playful canine family member.  If you feel that you can provide this sweet, sweet girl with the wonderful home she so richly deserves, we would love to hear from you.

"Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes,
And Nod is a little head,
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies
Is a wee one's trundle-bed;
So shut your eyes while Mother sings
Of wonderful sights that be,
And you shall see the beautiful things
As you rock in the misty sea
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three:--
Wynken, Blynken, and Nod."

*If you are seriously interested, YOU NEED TO APPLY (instructions below).  Also, a follow-up email to info@safeatlast.net is strongly recommended.
