TO PURSUE ADOPTION, YOU MUST REGISTER ON www.safeatlast.net & THEN COMPLETE THE SAFE AT LAST ON-LINE ADOPTION APPLICATION. WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU OR RESPOND TO INQUIRIES UNTIL WE HAVE YOUR COMPLETED APPLICATION.
Introducing our Spanish-named 3 little chi-chi sisters Mija, Hijita and Bonita. They are tiny little bundles of energy and are usually up to any type of challenge. They play hard, love hard and sleep hard. They are active, happy puppies who will provide a lifetime of love!!
Mija (pronounced me-ha) means my daughter. She has the thin brown stripe.
Hijita (pronounced he-ta) means young lady. She has the thicker brown ear
Bonita means pretty or adorable. She has the black ear.
These pups are about 7-8 weeks old currently (9/24/2023). Due to their diminutive size (only about 2 lbs each right now – and they will surely be small when full grown), we are seeking adult only homes (no small children). Right now, these babies are in foster care in North Carolina. We will be arranging transport from NC to NY in the near future.
*If you are seriously interested, YOU NEED TO APPLY (please see instructions below). Also, a follow-up email to info@safeatlast.net is strongly recommended.
To fill out an application, first, please register on www.safeatlast.net. When you receive your password (on your email account), log back on to complete the Safe at Last online adoption application. IF WE FEEL YOU ARE A POTENTIALLY GOOD MATCH, WE WILL CONTACT YOU BY EMAIL - SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM. All our rescues are fostered in private homes - WITHOUT YOUR APPLICATION, WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU, and you cannot meet our rescue animals until you have applied and been approved. Adopters are required to visit the foster home to complete the adoption (in the Schoharie County/Albany County area).
Our review process is very straightforward - it involves an interview, reference checks and a home assessment. An adoption fee of $450 and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law) also apply.
(We will not respond to generic "check the box" petfinder inquiries.)
Thank you for choosing to rescue and for your interest.
