Our best assessment is that he is 9 months, which means we see those moments of teenage energy, but he quickly listens and settles down. 

Jax would love a backyard and some activities like hiking or maybe even play dates if his new home has no siblings for him.   

People and dogs both make him happy, even his vet visit was loves, hugs, belly rubs and tail wags.  While Jax enjoys others dogs, we think he would also do fine as a solo dog, provided he was involved in family life and some fun activities.

Jax is fine tuning his basic manners like crating and a schedule for potty training. Just a few days in and he is picking it all up quickly. It helps that he is very food motivated.

Our best assessment (NO GUARANTEE) is that Jax is a poodle mix.   Right now, he is about 50 lbs and he needs to gain a little weight to get to his ideal size.  He is a medium-sized dog, and given his lovely disposition, we feel he would fit in great in family situations where he would be included in day-to-day activities and family life.
