The time has come for little Dash to find his forever home!

He's a hot ticket item for sure, and he deserves the absolute best home.

Dash is about 4.5 months old, neutered male, Chihuahua/Dachshund (currently 8.6lbs).

We believe he was abandoned at a local baseball field to fend for himself, either that or he escaped and no one looked for him?? Thusly, he has some trauma to work through and new situations/people can make him a little nervous, but he's already making great strides!

In true little dog form, he will alert bark in the home if given the opportunity - we'd love a home that will train him and address inappropriate behaviors, as Dash is receptive if he is directed to a better choice. This will help Dash become the best small adult dog he can be as he continues to grow up!

Dash is good with other dogs and cats. Best suited with dog savvy kids 10+. He is not fully housebroken but does very well if supervised and observed doing his business outside before coming back in.

He loves to cuddle and bonds strongly once he is comfortable. Dash also is playful and has spurts of being quite energetic - he'll need appropriate outlets for this energy. He's smart and loves to train - very food motivated.

Dash's adoption fee through the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley is $275 which includes-neuter, rabies, distemper, & bordetella vaccines, deworming/flea preventative, 4dx test/first heartworm preventative, & microchip!

Our review process is very straightforward - it involves an interview, reference checks and a home assessment.
