Meet Agnes!

Oh Agnes, what a doll and so so happy. She is one of the best kissy wiggly babies ever. The minute she sees you and oh my gosh, pick her up and that tail wiggles so hard her whole body shakes.

She is our most animated baby and her impressions are priceless. From that cute catch me if you can look to the big eyes looking up at you begging to be held.

She makes fun with or without her siblings, running and rolling in the yard or their play village.

And you do not have to know Agnes for her to welcome you in; everyone gets the same level of love from her.

And can we talk about her little fluffy butterball look?? It just finishes a complete little package known as Agnes.

The "Old Soul" puppies are about 8 weeks old (born ~5/1/2024). Their mom appears to be a German Shepherd mix (see photos), and some of the other dogs on the property features Anatolian Shepherd/Lab qualities. We expect but cannot guarantee these puppies will grow into large adults.

The puppies are started on core vaccines, dewormed/de-flead, and can be microchipped upon their arrival to NY/Schoharie County.

To pursue adoption, please register on www.safeatlast.net. (Click Register on the left-hand side of our homepage.) When you receive your password on your email account, please log back on to our website to complete the SAFE AT LAST on-line adoption application. (Click Forms/Application on the left-hand side of our homepage and select the Adoption Application.) Once we have your completed application, if we feel you are a good match, we will contact you by email. (So, please check your SPAM.) Our process is straightforward but involves a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment. An adoption fee of $450, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), apply.

YOU CANNOT MEET OUR RESCUE ANIMALS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT. WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FULLY FILLED OUT SAFE AT LAST ON-LINE ADOPTION APPLICATION. Delay in submitting your application will put you behind other potentially suitable applicants. Ultimately, approved adopters will be required to complete an adoption in Schoharie/Albany County.
