Meet baby doll Maggie!!!

Sweet Maggie came from rough circumstances – living alone in a small outdoor pen… But, WOW, she has absolutely flourished in her foster home where she is being shown lots of love and learning how to be a member of a family. 

Maggie is super sweet, dog friendly and loves her snuggle time.  Her fur foster sister is also helping her understand how to do zoomies and play.  Each day there is just a little more fun in Maggie's world. 

Maggie’s energy level varies from napping, to bursts of play and then snuggles. As Maggie continues to develop and feel secure in her world, we may see a little more aussie energy – for now, she is the perfect mix of snuggle time and play time. 

Because her start to life was not the best – being left by herself outside in a confined space- there are still things she will need help understanding. But quiet coaching and guidance are all she needs. 

If you have a couch, love, and a fur sibling and have fallen for Maggie, we would love to see your application.

Our best assessment (NO GUARANTEE) is that Maggie is 2-3 years old and an Aussie/Colie/Retriever mix (currently 30lbs).  She is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on core vaccines, and current on her flea/tick and HW prevention.

To pursue adoption, please register on www.safeatlast.net.  (Click Register on the left-hand side of our homepage.)  When you receive your password on your email account, please log back on to our website to complete the SAFE AT LAST on-line adoption application.  (Click Forms/Application on the left-hand side of our homepage and select the Adoption Application.) Once we have your completed application, if we feel you are a good match, we will contact you by email. (So, please check your SPAM.)  Our process is straightforward but involves a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $450 applies.

YOU CANNOT MEET OUR RESCUE ANIMALS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT.  WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FULLY FILLED OUT SAFE AT LAST ON-LINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Delay in submitting your application will put you behind other potentially suitable applicants.  Ultimately, approved adopters will be required to complete an adoption in Schoharie/Albany County.
