Meet Heartly (male tri-color) & Savy (female yellow)!

These two kiddos are about 5 months old (born 11/28/24) - best guess, no guarantee is that they are Great Pyrenees/Retriever/Shep mixes. As of 5/9 - Heartly is 50lbs, and Savy is just a couple pounds smaller than him, so these kids are likely going to be large to xlarge adult dogs.

These two came from a property with many dogs, so they didn't necessarily receive a ton of one-on-one human interaction early in life; however all of the dogs on the property (who are now ALL fixed), are well-natured dogs.

Both Heartly & Savy are doing great in their foster homes learning what it's like to live in a home! Both pups follow the direction of other dogs in their foster homes - they are looking for separate homes, but must be adopted to a home with another resident dog.

Heartly is an incredibly docile and loving dog. He is currently learning to walk on a leash. He is doing very well and likes to explore/adventure but gets overwhelmed with strangers and open spaces. He quickly learned that he prefers living inside and likes to be on the couch and sleep in the bed. He is clingy and will follow you from room to room. You'll never eat alone again. No more secret snacking. He can hear the crinkle of a wrapper from two yards away.

Savy is very similar - she loves to snuggle with both humans and pups. And she is better with the human touch.

Both are fixed, up-to-date on core vaccines, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, current on flea/tick/heartworm preventative, and is microchipped!

(So, please check your SPAM.)  Our process is straightforward but involves a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $450, applies

YOU CANNOT MEET OUR RESCUE ANIMALS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT.  WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FULLY FILLED OUT SAFE AT LAST ON-LINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Delay in submitting your application will put you behind other potentially suitable applicants.  Ultimately, approved adopters will be required to complete an adoption in Schoharie/Albany County.
