Meet Corey!

Corey is 3 years old, small mixed breed type - Poodle?/Maltese? (~15lbs).

Corey came from a local shelter when his owner lost his job and could no longer afford to care for him. The shelter life did not scare him at all, he was and is fearless and going to take everything that comes his way and move on. Sometimes he can be a little bossy, but who couldn't use some direction every now and again?

The basics on him- He is house broken, knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. He probably has those down because he is smart and listens so well to all commands.

And looking for a little shadow and lap dog, that's Corey too. He absolutely lives to be petted by his humans. His most favorite past time, being outside and running around. The feel of the grass and all the fresh air puts a smile on his face.

And while you are out there, play a little fetch with him too.

Corey is neutered, up-to-date on core vaccines, dewormed, current on flea/tick/heartworm preventative, and is microchipped!

(So, please check your SPAM.)  Our process is straightforward but involves a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $450, applies

YOU CANNOT MEET OUR RESCUE ANIMALS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT.  WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FULLY FILLED OUT SAFE AT LAST ON-LINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Delay in submitting your application will put you behind other potentially suitable applicants.  Ultimately, approved adopters will be required to complete an adoption in Schoharie County.
