Through the colossal efforts of rescue volunteers, Hunter, along with Momma Belle and his 7 siblings (Tully, Heidi, Russell, Dawson, Logan, Taylor, & Gracie), made their way to us from a very high kill shelter. We are thankful that this family is now safe & are thrilled to have them in our care.
Our best guess is that Hunter and his sibs are aussie mixes. Momma Belle appears to be aussie mixed with german shepherd and/or catahoula; as for dad, we have no idea. While we cannot guarantee their breed mix, we can guarantee that these are sweet, loving pups who are ready for devoted families of their own, where they will never be discarded again.
Hunter is a striking looking puppy who sports the grey, brown and black speckled coat similar to his mom's -- with one exception being the distinctive white stripe down his face. Upon first arrival, Hunter appeared to be a little bit more independent than the other pups of this crew... Now he is right in with the rest of his sibs, looking for lots of love and attention. Hunter seems to enjoy everything "puppy" -- love time, play time, snuggle time. Of course, what he would love most of all is to have a family of his very own who will be devoted to him for life.
If you have the time, willingness and ability to commit to Hunter for his whole life -- no matter what may lie ahead in yours -- please go to our website (www.safeatlast.net) to complete an online adoption application. Please understand that our animals are fostered in private homes, not a centralized facility; therefore, you cannot meet the pups until you have completed the online adoption application and gone through our review/approval process.
Completing an online adoption application is very straightforward. First, you will need to register on our website. Then, log back on with your user name and password. You may then access the adoption application under "Forms/Applications" (on the lefthand side of the homepage). Once you have submitted your completed application, a volunteer will be in touch to work with you through the review process. Reference checks, home assessment, and adoption fee of $300 (plus refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit [required by NYS law] apply.
Thank you for wanting to open your heart and home to a rescue pup -- and helping us save shelter pets, one life at a time.
