Tiny Mikala came into our rescue as an owner surrender.    We gladly took this little bundle of joy into our rescue, promising to find her a forever home where she will be appreciated,  loved and cherished forever.

Mikala is a happy, healthy little pup who can't help but bring a smile to your face.  This little girl is a bundle of sweet "puppy energy" -- and her playful antics send her already high cuteness factor way over the top!!  Whether it's a game of tug, carrying her tennis ball (which is about as big as she is!!), or her "rapid-fire" kisses, Mikala is sure to charm anyone who meets her.

We were told that Mikala is a mix of chihuahua, pomeranian and beagle.  Based on her current size (only 3 lbs) and small bone structure, we expect her to be a small dog when full grown -- likely not more than about 10 lbs or so.

If you have the time, willingness and ability to commit to Mikala for her whole life -- no matter what may lie ahead in yours -- please go to our website (www.safeatlast.net), register, log back on with your username and password, and complete an online adoption application (which can be accessed under "Forms/Applications").  Once we have your application, a volunteer will be in touch.

For the well-being of our animals, you cannot be considered for adoption (and you cannot meet the animals) until you have completed the online adoption application and gone through our review and approval process.   The review/approval process is very straightforward, but it does involve reference checks and a home assessment.  Additionally, an adoption fee of $300 (plus a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit, required by NYS law) apply.

Thank you for wanting to open your heart and home to one of our beautiful rescue pups.
