About Georgia

  • Housetrained: Yes

Georgia is a fabulous labbie mix girl who came to us from a rural shelter in South Carolina.  She is a happy, playful, affectionate young lady who loves the company of people.  She is also a smart little girl!  While in foster care, she has been learning many things; she knows some basic commands & is quite quick at learning.  Of course, she is still a youngster and looks forward to learning and growing with her forever family.

Georgia is about 6 to 7 months old & fully vetted (included being UTD on all her shots and already spayed).  She is about 26 lbs right now, and we don't expect her to get a whole lot bigger (at most in the 30 to 35 lb range).   So, she is large enough to be a "real dog", but small enough to be easy to handle.  We believe that Georgia's breed mix contains one of the small sighthounds (like an Italian Greyhound or Whippet), which accounts for her lean build.  She is housetrained (no accidents whatsoever), and is an absolutely delightful girl.

Georgia loves to snuggle with her humans & seems to want to be a lap dog!!  This young lady loves to give kisses and hugs; she actually will put her arms around your neck for loving!! Georgia has been in the company of other dogs & gets along well with the dogs who visit her current foster home.  So, we believe she would fine in a multiple dog household.  However, since she is so people oriented, Georgia would also do very well in a one-dog household.  If you are looking for a companion dog who will love to be with you, snuggle with you, and get tons of love, Georgia is your girl!!

If you have the time, willingness and ability to commit to sweet Georgia for her whole life, no matter what may lie ahead in yours, please go to our website (by typing www.safeatlast.net into your browser); register, log back on with your username and password; and complete an online adoption application.  Once we receive your application, we will be in touch to work with you through the review/approval process.  If you have any other questions, please email Cindy at cindy@safeatlast.net.

Thank you for wanting to open your heart and home to our beautiful Georgia.
