Dakota, along with siblings Carolina, Montana, & Georgia, have come a long way since arriving from a small rural shelter in South Carolina. They are doing GREAT now with an abundance of good food, fresh air, and room to run and play in a clean, healthy environment. They are reveling in their new-found freedom, which includes a nice fenced yard for plenty of exercise, interaction with their foster mom’s adult Collie and Golden Retriever, car rides to different places, & lots of visiting with people for added socialization. They have also gotten baths (and were so very good for that!!). Their coats are shiny-clean, sleek and beautiful, and they are smiling big smiles of happiness.
All of these babies are happy, playful puppies who absolutely love human contact and attention. They all love to be pet, held, and given belly rubs. They also love to give and get kisses. They are so ready for their forever families to love them to the max.
As for Dakota, a sweeter puppy you could not find. This little guy will roll over on his back, put his little paws up in the air, and ask for belly rubs. It is impossible not to love him!! Upon first meeting new people, Dakota can be a little shy, but that goes away quickly. Once he gets to know you, he is your pal and wants nothing more than to snuggle in your lap - and, of course, get belly rubs :-) Foster mom Cindy positively adores this little pup...We believe Dakota to be a doxie/lab mix, who will be medium-sized when full grown. He is one adorable puppy, inside and out, and we are looking for a home that will provide him with tons of love.
If you have the time, willingness and ability to commit to Dakota for his whole life, no matter what may lie ahead in yours, please go to our website; register, log back on with your username and password; and complete an online adoption application. Once we receive your application, we will be in touch to work with you through the review/approval process. If you have any other questions, please email foster mom Cindy at

Thank you for wanting to open your heart and home to one of these babies & helping us save shelter pets, one life at a time.
