Remy (formerly, our Dakota) is looking for a new home. His current family tells us he is a fabulous, sweet dog. The only problem is that the alpha female dog of the household refuses to accept Remy. And, for this reason, we are looking to re-home this delightful boy.
Remy's current mom is actually heartbroken to give him up, as she tells us that Remy has done nothing wrong. Actually, she says that a sweeter dog you could not find. Remy "smiles" and wags a lot! He loves the 11 yr old child of the household too. And he absolutely loves to play. Remy is not a couch potato; he is an active dog who loves to romp & play (like most youngsters his age). For that reason, we would prefer that he have a fenced yard (though we are happy to discuss this with prospective adopters). Remy is also very affectionate and wanting to be with his people; he loves belly rubs and giving tons of puppy kisses.
We believe Remy would do well as a solo dog or in a multiple dog home. As a solo dog, he would do best if he had lots of one on one attention from and interaction with his people. In a multiple dog household, we believe he would do fabulously with another young dog who enjoys lots of play time.
In terms of physical characteristics, Remy is a great size. He weighs in at 32 lbs. So, he is on the upper end of small, or lower end of medium -- large enough to be a "real dog" (for lots of play time and hikes), but also small enough to be easily managed and handled.
Remy is UTD on his shots, neutered, crate trained, and we are told pretty well housebroken. He is just waiting for the right home who will love him for all of his days.
If you are interested in Remy, please register on our website, fill out an online adoption application, and, once we have that, a volunteer will be in touch. For additional information, please email us at info@safeatlast.net.
Thank you for wanting to welcome this darling boy into your heart and home.
