Ivanhoe and his siblings - whom we call the "Magnificent Seven" - came to us from Ohio.  Born ~12/2/12.  These beautiful babies (along with several other animals) had been abandoned in an old house in squalid conditions; they were simply left to die.  Luckily, rescue workers found these babies in time, & they are now loving life!

As for Ivanhoe (or Ivo as his foster parents call him), he is quite the little firecracker and is not afraid of anything.  He's about 8#'s right now (2/20), but is a mighty big dog at heart (although he comes in a small wrapper)!!  He will play tug of war at the drop of a hat, but loves to curl up and cuddle with his siblings or his humans.  Except for when it's really cold, he loves being outside exploring and playing.  He is a relatively higher energy pup when compared with some of his siblings (such as Ingel), but he also settles down nicely for love from his humans.  Ivanhoe is a spunky, happy, lovable pup who will bring years of joy to his new forever family.

If you have the love in your heart, and the time, willingness & ability to commit to Ivanhoe for his whole life - no matter what may lie ahead in yours - then please register on our website (www.safeatlast.net).  Once you receive your password, then log back on to our website with your username and password and complete the online adoption application (under Forms/Applications on the left hand side of the homepage).

Once we have your application, a volunteer will be in touch to work with you through the review process.  Our process is very straightforward, but it does involve a phone interview, reference checks, and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $300, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), also apply.

Please understand that because our rescue babies are fostered in private homes & we have no centralized facility, you must be approved for adoption before meeting the puppies.  We appreciate your understanding.

We also thank you for your interest in our rescue babies and for helping us save shelter pets one life at a time.
