About Laird

  • Housetrained: No
Meet Laird, who came to us from Ohio, along with his siblings, after they lost their momma when they were only 6 weeks old.  Sadly, someone poisoned the mom of these babies... a heartless, awful thing.  Local rescue workers stepped in to help these little ones, and we are thrilled to have them with us.

Laird is a total cutie-pie.  He has stunning black ticking on his white coat & distinctive facial markings.  In terms of breed mix, he has the facial features of a fox terrier and the stubby legs of a Dachsund.  Really, there is no way for us to know for sure what Laird's breed mix is, but we do know for sure that he's a darling, fun little guy.  He is very outgoing and runs like a mad man!!  This handsome little man is also a total love bug & will charm you to pieces!!

If you have the love in your heart, and the time, willingness & ability to commit to Laird for his entire life -- no matter what may lie ahead in yours -- then please apply.  To do that, please register on our website (www.safeatlast.net), log back on with your username and password, and complete an online adoption application.  Once we have your application, a volunteer will be in touch to work with you through the review process.

Our process is very straightforward, but it does involve a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $300, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), also apply.

Because our animals are fostered in private homes and we do not have a centralized facility, you must be approved for adoption before you can meet the pups.  We appreciate your understanding in this regard.  Of course, if you would like additional information, or if you have any questions, please email foster mom Sharon at lammvogel@yahoo.com.

Thank you for your interest in our rescue babies and for helping us save shelter pets, one life at a time.
