About Patriot Pat

  • Housetrained: No
Hello everyone.  I'm "Patriot Pat," and I am brother #2 of the "Fourth of July Four."  Like my brothers Philly and Paul I am a terrier mix with a wire coat, and at ten weeks of age I weigh 6.8 lbs.  I have a beautiful black coat with white feet, and although I have Wire-Haired Terrier in my lineage, my coat feels soft to the touch.  I am what you might call "scruffy," but some folks pay a lot of money to have hair like mine!!

I have enjoyed my time in New York and, like my brothers and sister, have run in the rain and played till I was so tired, I just couldn't run and play anymore - what fun!!  I love my siblings and we get along very well.  I like to cuddle with my foster Mom and Dad whenever I can, but I still enjoy playing with all our toys and with each other.   I can't quite figure out those foster siblings of ours - they are a lot bigger than we are, but they seem very nice and I like them.

Anyway, I would love to have a wonderful family who would love me and cuddle with me and run and play with me as well.  My foster parents tell me that they expect I will be a small- to medium-sized dog when I am all grown up.  All I know is that I am so looking forward to having my forever family, and I know I will make a great addition to any family lucky enough to adopt me.  Thank you for taking a look at me and my siblings.  We are all great puppies.

If you have the time, willingness, and ability to commit to Patriot Pat for his whole life - no matter what may lie ahead in yours - then please go to www.safeatlast.net.  Please register and then log back on to the website with your username and password to complete the online adoption application (under Forms/Applications).  Once we have your application, a volunteer will be in touch to work with you through the review process.

Our review process is very straightforward, but it does involve a phone interview, reference checks, and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $300 and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law) also apply.

Please understand that because we foster our animals in private homes and do not have a centralized facility, you must be approved for adoption prior to meeting the puppies.  We thank you for your understanding in this regard.

Of course, if you have any questions, please email us at info@safeatlast.net.  We are happy to assist.

Thank you for helping us save shelter pets, one life at a time.
