Iman, formerly Rusty, came to us all the way from KY.  A rescue worker there saw her neighbor repeatedly kicking Iman, and luckily she was able to get Iman to safety.  Due to the abuse, Iman has an injury to one of his back legs, which makes him limp slightly.  The x-rays show that Iman's femur was fractured.. and our vet tells us that this little guy had to have been only about 7 weeks old when he was so brutally abused ... The injury is healed now, but there is nothing that can be done to correct the limp.     

We never cease to marvel how someone could kick an innocent, defenseless puppy repeatedly ...  Sadly, this and worse happens every single day ...  At least for Iman, he is safe now & will never be in harms' way again.  This puppy is sweet beyond sweet, and, with your help, we are going to find Iman a wonderful home.

Currently, Iman is in foster care with children and another dog (a very large Great Dane).  He is doing fabulously, and his foster mom tells us that Iman's injury doesn't slow him down - he loves playing with his big pal MJ - and runs around and plays like a typical puppy.  If he overdoes it, his leg can be sore... but it still doesn't slow him down much.  Iman is also doing great on his potty training.   And, from his personality, you would never know that this little fella suffered abuse at human hands - he is a social, sweet, well-adjusted, bright-eyed pup -- and everyone who meets him falls in love with him.

Iman is a plott hound mix & estimated to be about 15 weeks old (as of 7/15).  Plott hounds are wonderful canine companions -- loyal, sweet, loving & intelligent.  He will be a big boy when full grown.
