About Ursula Annie

  • Housetrained: No
Meet dear Ursula Annie from our "U Group" of Chihuahuas!

Annie is a sweet 10-year-old Chihuahua who did not have a very good beginning to life.  Kept in poor conditions and bred often, she had not known love, warmth and happiness until she and 23 other dogs were rescued from uncaring humans.

Prior to coming to us, she had been in foster care in Kentucky (since September) recovering and being treated for sarcoptic mange and other neglect issues.  Her foster family there loved and cared for her and healed her in ways that made her whole again.  Her coat has come in very nicely; while there are a couple of uneven areas, that's to be expected when recovering from sarcoptic mange.  She is a beautiful little girl inside and out and has a wonderful disposition.  She is the happiest of little ladies.  Her tail never stops wiggling, and she loves lots of attention.  She also loves laying in front of the wood stove, or curled up in a chair with the other three Chi's, her other foster siblings, or her human foster parents.  And, despite her age, this little gal runs and plays like a youngster.  She is also a total cuddle bug.

Ursula Annie did have to have some teeth removed.  She was seen by our vet this past week, and she is current on her vaccines.  She is also heartworm negative and already spayed.

If you want a sweet, lovable little companion who wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved and can you look past her scars, then this wonderful little girl is for you.  She will give you unconditional love for the rest of her life.

If you are interested in providing Ursula Annie the loving forever home she so richly deserves, please register on our website (www.safeatlast.net) and then complete an on-line adoption application.  Once we have your application, a volunteer will be in touch to work with you through the review process.  Our review process is very straightforward but does involve a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $200 also applies.

Because our animals are fostered in private homes and we do not have a centralized facility, you must be approved for adoption prior to meeting the animals.  We thank you for your understanding.

Of course, if you have any questions along the way, please email us at info@safeatlast.net.  We are happy to assist.

Thank you for helping us save shelter pets, one life at a time.
