Meet our beautiful Y Litter:  York, Yvette, & Yanni.  These sweet babies are Dachshund mixes.  Though they have longer legs than your typical Dachshund, we expect them to be small dogs when full grown.  Currently (5/29), they are a little over 4 months of age, and each is between 9 and 10 lbs.  Yanni and Yvette have beautiful, soft medium to long coats, typical of a long-haired Dachshund, whereas York has a typical wire coat look on his face, but longer, smoother hairs on his body.

Each of these babies has a unique personality, but all are totally lovable, personable, & fun.  They love being with their humans.   They love running around and exploring the outdoors with one another, as well as with their larger foster siblings.  They also love sitting in your lap or laying in the sunshine.  And they ride very well in the car and were a big hit at the vet’s office!

These babies sleep through the night without making a fuss, and they are also doing well on their potty training.  They either use the papers inside or go out the doggie door and do their business outside.

All of these pups have been checked out by our vet and are ready for their forever homes.  They have had all three of their puppy shots as well as their rabies vaccine, and they are up-to-date on medication for heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention.  Any one of these beautiful little babies would be a fun and wonderful addition to any loving, committed family.

If you have the time, willingness and ability to commit to one of these babies for his/her whole life -- no matter what may lie ahead in yours -- please register on our website.  Then, please log back on with your username and password to complete the online adoption application (under Forms/Applications on the left hand side of the homepage).  Once we have your application, a volunteer will be in touch to work with you through the review process.

Our process is very straightforward, but does involve a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $300 and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law) also apply.   If you have any questions or would like more information, please email us at info@safeatlast.net.  We are happy to assist.

Thank you for your interest in our rescue babies and for helping us save shelter pets, one life at a time.
