Meet Joy from our “Christmas Crew.” She is a beautiful gal with her shiny, lustrous black coat with red undertones.  Our best assessment is that she is a retriever/shep mix; and, based on current size and characteristics, we anticipate that she will be medium in size when full grown.

As for personality, beautiful Joy is aptly named -- she is a total sweetheart & such a love-muffin.  She has stolen her foster mom’s heart with her gentle, gentle ways.  Joy loves to snuggle & will lay her little head right down on her foster mom's neck and give little kisses.  Joy is as content as can be when she is being held and loved.  She will never miss an opportunity to crawl into your lap for some loving.  This dear puppy will make a terrific companion to any loving family.

If you are interested in adopting Joy, please register on our website, www.safeatlast.net.  When you receive your password on your email account, log back on to our website with your username and password to complete the online adoption application (under “Forms/Applications” on the lefthand side of our homepage).  Once we have your application, a volunteer will be in touch (by email) to set up a phone interview to commence the review process.  Our process is very straightforward but involves a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $350, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), also apply.   You must apply with us & be approved PRIOR to meeting the pups.
