Meet cutie-pie, scruff-muffin Toto -- a little Cairn Terrier mix who is an absolute love bug.  Toto is 8 lbs of sheer happiness and love.  This little guy wants nothing more than to get into your lap and give kisses.  And it seems that his favorite thing is to flip over on his back and get belly rubs while looking up at you with love in his eyes.  Toto is one happy little pup who loves human attention and companionship.  He is being fostered with Blaze, who is quite a bit larger than Toto, but Toto does just fine.  Also, Toto is one smart little cookie - he learned the doggie door at his foster home in 2 seconds, no hesitation whatsoever.  And, so far, there have been no accidents in the house.  Good puppies!!!

Our best assessment (which is a best assessment only and not a guarantee) is that Toto will be small when full grown, possibly 20 lbs, and likely not even that large.  This little terrier mix has the cutest little scruffy face... yes, reminiscent of Dorothy's Toto from the Wizard of Oz.  But Toto is not in KY anymore (which is where he formerly lived); he is safe and happy in foster care with us and just waiting for a great forever family to come along to love him for all of his days.  This little guy is sure to be an amazingly affectionate companion dog.  His personality just shines bright - it is truly impossible not to love this puppy!

If you have the time, willingness and ability to commit to Toto for his whole life -- no matter what may lie ahead in yours -- please register on www.safeatlast.net.  When you receive your password on your email account, then please log back on to the website with your username and password to complete the online adoption application.  Once we have your completed application, we will be in touch by email to schedule the phone interview to commence the review process.  Our process is very straightforward but does involve the phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $375, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), also apply.

Also, we do allow out-of-state or out-of-area adoptions.  However, all approved adopters are required to travel to the foster home to complete the adoption.  We do not ship/deliver our rescue animals.
