Meet sweet puppies Thor, Thunder, Trooper, Trapper, & Trixie. All of these puppies have super personalities and are happy-go-lucky.  They all run and play until they can't play anymore and then they take naps to rest up for the next adventure.  Any one of these beautiful puppies would make a great life-long companion to a family lucky enough to be approved for adoption.  They have the fun loving personalities of a small Terrier and the traits of a toy Spaniel &/or Basenji.  They present the best of all worlds and will bring much happiness, laughter and joy to their families.  We expect they will be on the lower end of medium (~25 to 30 lbs) when full-grown.

 As for individual traits/personalities:

Mr. Thor is quite the little explorer & looks totally different from his black and white siblings.  He is a stunning-looking boy with his soft, soft black and tan coat & currently (9/8) weighs in at about 12 lbs.  Thor is like a little monkey sometimes as he tries to climb up your leg to get your attention so he can give and get hugs and kisses.  Like his siblings, he loves running, jumping and playing outside and exploring every inch of his surroundings.  He also enjoys the company of his other foster brothers and sisters.  What he loves most of all is to curl up and sit in your lap for some loving or a nap, or just be in your company.  He, like his siblings, has a wonderful, sweet, happy, carefree disposition.

Thunder is a handsome little man, with his long black coat, silvery under-chin, and feathery ears.  Currently, he weighs about 13#'s.  Thunder is the most laid back of these puppies; but, he is still active and social and loves playing and running with his siblings and the other fosters.  He also loves to sit in your lap and cuddle and get tummy rubs, and he gives puppy hugs and kisses in return.  He is a very sweet, lovable boy & is his own little character!!

Trooper has a lovely, soft long coat and feathery ears, & currently (9/8) weighs about 13#'s.  Like all these puppies, he is very handsome and charming.   He is also fun!! Trooper is just like all his siblings in that he loves to run and play, explore and run some more.  He also gets along with all his other foster siblings & enjoys playing with them. Trooper is a cuddle-bug who gives hugs and kisses & enjoys being with his human family.

Trapper John, as we call him, is the twin to sister Trixie – they have just slightly different markings, with Trapper having a few more spots on his legs and face.  His coat is soft as chamois and so beautiful.  Currently (9/8), he weighs about 13 lbs.  Trapper loves being outside running and chasing his siblings and other foster brothers and sisters, but he also loves attention and getting tummy rubs and hugs & spending time with his humans.  He is a very sweet, lovable boy. 

The beautiful and charming Miss Trixie is the only girl of this group.  She and her brother Trapper look almost like twins, with their stunning soft-as-chamois black and white spotted coats.  Currently (9/8), Trixie is about 12#'s.   She is a total little love bug and loves to be cuddled, sit in your lap to take a nap, and spend time with her people.  She also enjoys running and playing outdoors with her brothers and other foster siblings.  Trixie, like her siblings, is an absolute sweetheart with a lovely temperament and delightful personality.

If you have the time, willingness and ability to commit to one of these pups – for his/her whole life – no matter what may lie ahead in yours, please register on www.safeatlast.net (click Register on the left-hand side of our homepage).  When you receive your password on your email account, then log back on to the website with your username and password to complete the online adoption application (click Forms/Applications on the left-hand side of our homepage).  Once we have your application, we will contact you by email to schedule the phone interview to commence the review process.  Our process is very straightforward but does involve the phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $375, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), also apply.

These pups are being fostered in a private home; we do not have a centralized facility.  THEREFORE, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU CANNOT MEET THE PUPS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR ADOPTION.  AND, YOU CANNOT BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOPTION UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.   ALSO, APPROVED ADOPTERS ARE REQUIRED TO COME TO THE FOSTER HOME (FULTONHAM, NY) TO COMPLETE THE ADOPTION.  WE DO NOT DELIVER OR SHIP OUR RESCUE ANIMALS.
