Little Missy is a wonderful, sweet and oh so lovable young senior of about 8 years of age.  As is the case with most of the seniors who come to our rescue, some folks get tired of their dog as the dog ages and need a little extra care... and then they simply abandon the dog, leaving it to fend for itself.  What an awful side of human behavior...

Anyway, luckily Missy made her way to our caring rescue partners in KY, and she was in foster care there for almost a year.  When our KY friends told us about Missy, her story broke our heart, and we brought her and another abandoned senior (Harley) into our rescue with the hope of finding each of them a great forever home.

Missy is a Shih Tzu mix and is so lovable and trusting.  She loves being outside and hasn't even minded the colder temperatures.  She is house trained and gets along with all her other foster siblings.  Missy does have one minor issue -- she cannot produce her own tears and, therefore, must have drops put in both of her eyes twice a day.  This is no problem at all, however, because she will come right over when you call her, and she waits like a good girl to have the drops put in her beautiful and trusting eyes.

Missy has a great big heart filled with lots of love, and she will be a fabulous companion for someone wise enough to want to give this sweetie her forever home.  Her new family surely will be rewarded over and over again with her love, each and every day.

Missy is being fostered in a private home; we do not have a centralized facility.  THEREFORE, YOU CANNOT MEET HER UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR ADOPTION, & YOU CANNOT BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOPTION UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  ALSO,  ADOPTERS ARE REQUIRED TO COME TO THE FOSTER HOME (IN SCHOHARIE COUNTY, NY) TO COMPLETE THE ADOPTION.  WE DO NOT DELIVER OR SHIP OUR RESCUE ANIMALS.
