Onondaga ("Ono") is a Shepherd mix with a long coat that is shades of reds, gold's and tan.  She has a more laid back, reserved personality than some of her siblings, but is still sweet as can be. 

 She loves playing outside with her foster siblings and gets along very well with all of them.  She loves to get attention from her humans and hang out with the other animals or her humans.

 Ono also weighs between 20/25 pounds right now and is a very beautiful girl.  We expect she will be on the upper end of medium to large in size when full grown.

If you have the time, willingness and ability to commit to Onondaga – for her whole life – no matter what may lie ahead in yours, please register on www.safeatlast.net (click Register on the left-hand side of our homepage).  When you receive your password on your email account, then log back on to the website with your username and password to complete the online adoption application (click Forms/Applications on the left-hand side of our homepage).  Once we have your application, we will contact you by email to schedule the phone interview to commence the review process.  Our process is very straightforward but does involve the phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment.  An adoption fee of $375, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), also apply.

 Ono is being fostered in private homes; we do not have a centralized facility.  THEREFORE, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU CANNOT MEET HER UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR ADOPTION.  AND, YOU CANNOT BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOPTION UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION.  ALSO, APPROVED ADOPTERS ARE REQUIRED TO COME TO THE FOSTER HOME (IN SCHOHARIE COUNTY, NY) TO COMPLETE THE ADOPTION.  WE DO NOT DELIVER OR SHIP OUR RESCUE ANIMALS.
