Bear is a 3-yr old Plott Hound mix and is in need of a new home due to significant upheaval in his former family.  Bear – formerly our Iman – came back to Safe At Last when his family could no longer keep him.  He is currently in foster care with us, and this is what his foster mom has to say about him:

“Bear likes snuggling and playing with his humans.  He is a happy boy and a joy to be around.  Besides snuggling with his humans, Bear also loves to play outside; but when outside, he needs to be supervised, because otherwise he gets a little mischievous and will chew his lead & take off --  haha!   

He weighs about 60 lbs & is a good boy.  He has not had one accident in the house.   He asks to go outside to potty, and he hasn't destroyed or chewed anything.   Bear hasn’t been crated at my house because he’s used to being free in the house, and he has done absolutely fine.  His former family also said that he is fine with cats.”   

We are seeking a committed, forever home for Bear where he will be loved and cherished for his whole life.  We also believe that Bear would do best being the only dog in the household, and, so, we are seeking a solo-dog situation for him.
