(Update): Hello! Made it through the second night with our little pup! Sadie is doing great, on the car ride home she threw up once early then slept the rest of the way, she was very good and cuddly in the backseat with Sam. Sunday night we got her used to being in the crate with the door open, showed her lots of love and played outside in the yard. She handled the crate the first night really well considering shed never been in one before! She wined for maybe 10 minutes and then slept, we woke up every 2 hours and brought her outside and she peed/pooped every time :). Yesterday was a fun day, we had out friends with a one year old big puppy over and they played in the yard together for a few hours in the morning. She was exhausted after and napped until the afternoon, where we had another couple over with a little 2 year old frenchie/pug. They loved each other and chased one another around the yard. She also met Toms family and two little nieces Sunday night and played very well, giving everywhere the appropriate kisses. The picture of tom and her sleeping on the floor is Sunday after dinner, both of them were truly exhausted in a good way. She slept even better the second night in the crate! We noticed she loves taking treats and hiding them all over the yard and house and then going back hours later to eat them, Things are going so well and we love her so much already, as does everyone that meets her! Hope you enjoy the update and pictures and thank you so much for taking care of her and getting her safely to us :) Sam

Hey Cindy,
We are adjusting very well! It was a bit of a long night but everyone is doing awesome. We have so many people that want to see her now, we need to schedule time blocks haha. Thank you so much, pictures to come.
Thanks,
Tom and Sam
Kelly
Hi Cindy,
Just a quick update on Kelly.
The ride home was mostly uneventful after the initial stage. That stage involved her pooping in the crate maybe I should have walked her a bit first) and about 5 minutes of crying :(.
I got her and crate cleaned up and she as pretty content to lay on the blankets and presumably sleep. I made a final stop for gas at the service station near 84/90 intersection. I gave her a couple of small treats and she seemed to warming up to me at that point.
When I got home around 12:30, the whole family was awake, having stayed up or gotten up, for her arrival. Kelly was pretty inquisitive right off, tail wagging and marching around the first couple of rooms. The initial meeting with our lab was pretty good. Kelly was trembling a bit, presumably scared, and our other dog was trembling with excitement! After a few minutes and some considerable sniffing, everybody settled down and got more comfortable with each other.
I just took a break from work and went to see how things were going and Kelly was playing and chewing on toys and trying to engage our other dog a bit in play. Kelly seems to be adjusting well and pretty happy with some new friends and things to explore. We still have a fair bit of snow here and she's not so happy with that, but she did spend about 30 minutes out back with my wife this morning on her morning pee.
No pictures yet and no name yet as we haven't all had a chance to talk about it. Hopefully tonight when everyone is home from school!

Cindy,
I know you're thinking about him, so just want to send a quick email to say
everything is great. He slept during most of the car ride, and loves his
new big brother Bucky. And Bucky loves the new toys Baxter brought!
They're going to be the best of friends. Baxter seems happy with no
separation anxiety from his family. He ate, peed several times,
pooped...all is well. We absolutely love him and are so happy that we were
able to adopt him. Hope the others find happy homes soon too. Thank you
for all you do for the helpless in the world.
Best Wishes,
Jacque
... And, we have since heard that Baxter continues to amaze and delight his new family.
Thank you, Jacque and Jaan, for welcoming this beautiful boy home :)

Hello Cindy,
Wanted to share the baby boy's picture with you. He had a rough ride home. He threw up 8 times, poor thing.
He is doing fabulous now. He has eaten - gone outside to do his business and loves his new sister Sadie (Sadie is one happy sister as well).

So far, so good! I don't want to drive you crazy with pictures, but I thought you'd like this one of Lucy with her oldest brother, Rex. She's eating plenty and is playing with her toys already. Thank you again so much for taking such good care of her. She's such a lovely girl.
Regards,
Brian and Mandy
