Dachsador Cinder
Update (3/25/17): Just thought you'd like to see our "little" pup. She's approaching 60 pounds and still only 8 months old! This is the queen sized bed she prefers over any one we've bought for her. She's definitely not a runt anymore!

Update (12/19/16): Just wanted to send a greeting from our home to yours ... see how Emma (Cinder) has grown. She's over 30 pounds now and not even 5 months so we're thinking that she's not going to follow the path of "runt" too long! She is well loved! Thanks for introducing us!

Adoption day report:
Everything has gone very well! She has seemed quite content and has let us
put the leash on and off without resistance. AND she peed and pooped
outside already. She is eating her dinner now and is going in and outside
without a problem. Such a sweet puppy!

> Loved your pictures ... Thx
...
She was so tired she fell asleep on the floor and then in my lap. After that she just walked into her crate and put herself to bed. It was so sweet. Thanks for all you have done and will do to help dogs like Emma!
Kelly
Hi Cindy,
Just a quick update on Kelly.
The ride home was mostly uneventful after the initial stage. That stage involved her pooping in the crate maybe I should have walked her a bit first) and about 5 minutes of crying :(.
I got her and crate cleaned up and she as pretty content to lay on the blankets and presumably sleep. I made a final stop for gas at the service station near 84/90 intersection. I gave her a couple of small treats and she seemed to warming up to me at that point.
When I got home around 12:30, the whole family was awake, having stayed up or gotten up, for her arrival. Kelly was pretty inquisitive right off, tail wagging and marching around the first couple of rooms. The initial meeting with our lab was pretty good. Kelly was trembling a bit, presumably scared, and our other dog was trembling with excitement! After a few minutes and some considerable sniffing, everybody settled down and got more comfortable with each other.
I just took a break from work and went to see how things were going and Kelly was playing and chewing on toys and trying to engage our other dog a bit in play. Kelly seems to be adjusting well and pretty happy with some new friends and things to explore. We still have a fair bit of snow here and she's not so happy with that, but she did spend about 30 minutes out back with my wife this morning on her morning pee.
No pictures yet and no name yet as we haven't all had a chance to talk about it. Hopefully tonight when everyone is home from school!

And, here is a pic of Kelly with her big sister Emmy... just look at that expression!!
Keagan
Cindy,
I know you're thinking about him, so just want to send a quick email to say
everything is great. He slept during most of the car ride, and loves his
new big brother Bucky. And Bucky loves the new toys Baxter brought!
They're going to be the best of friends. Baxter seems happy with no
separation anxiety from his family. He ate, peed several times,
pooped...all is well. We absolutely love him and are so happy that we were
able to adopt him. Hope the others find happy homes soon too. Thank you
for all you do for the helpless in the world.
Best Wishes,
Jacque
... And, we have since heard that Baxter continues to amaze and delight his new family.
Thank you, Jacque and Jaan, for welcoming this beautiful boy home :)
Kasey
Hello Cindy,
Wanted to share the baby boy's picture with you. He had a rough ride home. He threw up 8 times, poor thing.
He is doing fabulous now. He has eaten - gone outside to do his business and loves his new sister Sadie (Sadie is one happy sister as well).
Kiana
So far, so good! I don't want to drive you crazy with pictures, but I thought you'd like this one of Lucy with her oldest brother, Rex. She's eating plenty and is playing with her toys already. Thank you again so much for taking such good care of her. She's such a lovely girl.
Regards,
Brian and Mandy
