Animal Success Stories
Dillon
Hi Cindy,
I ,,, just wanted to give you a little info on how things
are going here.
Dillon is wonderful. He is a joy to have around, and such a good little guy. He is taking to our schedule very quickly, which just makes things so much easier for
everyone. He makes new friends with everyone he's met so far. Yesterday we took him to our vet for
his third shot and to have him check him out, and our vet absolutely fell in love with him.
Dr Stone is very impressed with what you have done to make sure he is healthy. I told him that you were a lot like him.... a worryier.... LOL
Dillon just has such a great personality, and it doesn't hurt that he's a cutie too.
The only thing we are finding we need to work on is getting Shelby to leave him alone once in awhile. She just adores him so much. But they play together well and Dillon does let her know when she's getting too pushy.
Anyway, things are going very well.... he continues to wag his tail constantly while hoovering
up his food.... it makes us feel good to know that he is happy.
I hope things are well on your end. Keep up the good work you do, and I have recommended Safe At Last to any of my friends who mentioned they may be thinking about adopting a puppy.
Thanks again, I will keep in touch.
- Deb
Another update:
Hi Cindy,
I hope this email finds everything good on your end. I have looked at your latest puppies and
they are cuties too. I hope they all get the great homes they deserve.
We took Dillon for his Rabies shot and another puppy checkup yesterday, and the little moose now weighs
in at 24 lbs. The vet mentioned once again he'd be very happy to take him home with him and I told him flat out
NO (we are friends, he likes teasing me). Shelby was also due for her 4x heartworm test so we had them both there at the same time.....Dillon is very relaxed and loves meeting everyone.... Shelby just gets nervous and jerky. LOL Dillon will be starting puppy classes the week after next, next week it's for parents alone, and hopefully we will all learn some things. He is not very hard to train...... he listens well and learns quickly. We feel like it'll be beneficial for him to meet other puppies his size, even tho by the picture you can tell he's quickly catching up to Shelby. Shelby loves him and has calmed down a bit with her intensity on most things. We are just so glad Dillon is such a laid back, easy going sweet guy. He continues to give you that "look" as he runs around with his toys in his mouth......and still wags his tail the whole time he is devouring his food..... :-))) The vet asked me how he is you know with behaving etc....and I told him again "he's a pleasure to have around" and that's saying something for a 16 week old or so puppy. He plays well with Harley our cat too, tho I haven't been able to get a good picture of them doing their playing thing. Harley lets Dillon know when she's done playing and he respects that. He is just a blast to have around and is helping in his own Dillon way to fill that empty spot we needed eased a little.
Just wanted to send you a picture and a note. I know if I were a foster mom I'd like to see my puppies gradual growth, and know they were healthy and happy in their new homes. We are pretty confident that Dillon is happy being part of our family.
Take Care,
Deb & Bob
