Meet "Bestie" who came to us from our wonderful rescue friends in Bamberg, South Carolina at the Mary Ann Morris Animal Society! Our best assessment (NO GUARANTEE) is that she is Lab mix, ~ 1 year old, and she weighs in at around 60lbs. Bestie LOVES her people and other dogs. She has no food aggression at all & is not a barker. She is currently not a fan of car rides or stairs, but she is learning. And, here is what Bestie has to say:
"Hi, my name is Bestie aka Lil Diva and I fully live up to my names. I will be your best friend furever!
I’ve been at my foster home for about a week now and, boy, am I having a blast. There’s another pup here, his name is Georgie, we are about the same age, and we spend all day running around playing. Sometimes we get a little too rambunctious in the house and my foster mom will yell “KIDS!”, which means we need to settle down a bit. There’s also a bunny in the house that I get to say hi to every day, but we don’t get to play. My foster mom said that even though I’m super nice to him, she’s a little nervous that I may accidentally hurt him because I sometimes play too hard.
Speaking of playing hard, I have a 12 year old human foster brother that I like to chase around and play with. Once in a while I get a little too excited and knock him over, but he doesn’t mind because I make up for it with plenty of kisses.
Overall, my foster mom says I’m a good girl that just wants love and attention. I’m still working on a few things though like potty training, walking on a leash, sit, stay, no jumping (that’s a tough one because I get so excited to see everyone), not to beg for human food, and I’m told I’m not supposed to chew on the furniture- so that’s another tough habit because it tastes so good. What can I say, I am learning lots of things - and, so, my new family would need to understand and keep working with me... I sure will reward you with lots and lots of kisses!!
Other than loving everyone I come in contact with, I also love my toys that make a funny crinkle noise, and I love chasing tennis balls around. Oh, and when it’s bedtime, I really love sleeping under the blankets with my foster mom and cuddling with her. She says I snore, but I don’t know about that.
