MEET BRODY!

Brody is a 2 year old (born ~Jan 2020), Shar Pei/Mastiff/Pit Bull mix.  He currently weighed 68.2lbs at his neuter appt 5/19.  

This guy *insert heart eyes* - what a hulky, hunk, jug-head, mushy boy!  Sweet, friendly, SOFT boy, just a really NICE DOG!

Brody came from a complicated living situation that just overall wasn't appropriate from the dogs anymore.  Brody CRAVES to be with people, he just wants to be involved in whatever the family is doing.

He is currently fostered with both male and female dogs of varying sizes (and in his prior situation actually lived with his very large, more dominant canine dad), Brody is very good with other dogs.  Brody is also fostered with cats, again, good boy - an occasional thought to be a bit playful with the cats so his best match would be a dog-savvy cat or neutral cat who wouldn't feel victimized by a playful, young, big dog.

Brody is also good with kids, again, just the potential for a young, large dog, when excited he may knock a small human over in exuberance.  We are working on that and jumping up for affection, Brody sometimes would just like to be held or sit in a lap like a little puppy dog, lol.  

Brody is housebroken (just neutered though, so in the first couple of days, expect him to consider a mark out of habit - but he does know better and past those initial days, no accidents).  He is also crate trained.

Lastly, Brody has been exposed to the free range chickens, as well as other livestock in passing - with appropriate human leadership and monitoring we would say he is also reliable with these critters too!

Brody is a GREAT dog.  A bit unsure about the recent changed in his life, coming into rescue, etc-but he is learning and acceptable to what is expected of him, adjusting and settling in wonderfully.  Now it's time to find this guy a forever family of his own!

BRODY's adoption fee is $150 - and this includes neuter, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dewormer (if needed), flea treatment (if needed), heartworm/lyme test, & microchip!

Our review process is very straightforward - it involves an interview, reference checks and a home assessment.
